A couple weeks ago I released a new track titled, Way Station, along with a video for the track. The video was particularly a lot of fun to make. I used an assortment of miscellaneous footage I had captured and then built a generative system in Max/MSP to randomly implement sporadic cuts, brooding crossfades, jittery noise, and shifting colors. I’ve used Max a lot for audio patches but this was my first time using it for video. It was a lot to learn, but I’m excited to have another go at it and use some of these tools on another video project in the future.
Also released the same day was an older track that was only previously available on Youtube. It’s a track called, It’s often more than enough. I release a video for it at the end of the year last year, as a sort of “year-in-review”, but I never released the music on its own. You can find both pieces on Bandcamp and both videos on Youtube and Vimeo.
